<p>The Growth Team at WHOOP is a fast-paced, experimentation-driven group focused on driving user acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. As a Software Engineer I on the Growth team, you will contribute to building and optimizing user-facing web experiences that directly impact key business and member metrics. You will work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to ship high-quality features, run experiments, and continuously improve the member journey.</p>

RESPONSIBILITIES:
β Contribute to the development and maintenance of responsive, high-quality frontend applications that power WHOOPβs web experiences
β Partner with Product, Design, and Analytics to implement experiments (A/B tests) and iterate quickly based on measurable results
β Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React) and industry best practices
β Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services to deliver seamless, performant user experiences
β Break down feature requirements into actionable tasks, identify risks early, and iterate quickly to deliver value to members
β Monitor and improve application performance, accessibility, and usability across devices and browsers
β Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, proactively seeking feedback and continuously improving your craft
QUALIFICATIONS:
β Professional experience in frontend software development (internship, co-op, or academic project experience acceptable)
β Experience building web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React
β Understanding of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
β Familiarity with integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs
β Experience using version control systems such as Git
β Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environment
β Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional partners
β Bonus: Experience with A/B testing frameworks or growth-focused engineering initiatives

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 - $145,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidateβs specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the roleβs requirements.
