About the Role
WHOOP is seeking a Software Engineer to join the AI Platform team, responsible for building the foundation that enables scalable use of Generative AI across products. This role involves designing and scaling systems that serve as the backbone of WHOOP’s Generative AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Help execute WHOOP's vision to build and scale the use of Generative AI across our Core product
- →Develop backend features and services using Java, AWS, and PostgreSQL
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and deliver impactful infrastructure
- →Design abstraction layers that empower Product and Software teams to leverage Generative AI
- →Deliver high-quality code adhering to best practices
- →Develop and maintain observability and monitoring systems
- →Mentor and support junior engineers
Requirements
- ✓Experience in backend development on large-scale software systems
- ✓Experience building applications on top of Large Language Models
- ✓Expertise in API design and development with Java
- ✓Experience in relational database design and development (SQL)
- ✓Experience with scalable system design and performance optimization
- ✓Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Excellent communication skills
