<p style="margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">As a Software Engineer II (Frontend), you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the user experiences that power WHOOPβs digital products. You will contribute to the design and development of member-facing experiences from concept through production, leveraging modern web technologies and AI-assisted development workflows to rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship high-quality features. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong product intuition, a high bar for user experience, and a desire to grow their ability to translate ambiguous problems into polished, user-centric solutions.</span></p>

RESPONSIBILITIES:
β’ Translate product goals into intuitive, polished user experiences, contributing to features from concept through production
β’ Rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship member-facing features using modern AI-assisted development workflows
β’ Build and maintain high-quality, performant web applications using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS
β’ Design and implement responsive, mobile-first user interfaces that deliver a seamless experience across devices
β’ Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to help shape product and UX decisions
β’ Establish and promote best practices in frontend architecture, performance, accessibility, and maintainability
QUALIFICATIONS:
β’ 5+ years of professional experience in frontend or full stack software development
β’ Strong experience building production web applications using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS
β’ Demonstrated ability to contribute to user-facing features end-to-end, from ideation through launch
β’ Strong product sense with a focus on delivering intuitive and high-quality user experiences
β’ Experience building responsive, mobile-first interfaces
β’ Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative environments with an emphasis on rapid prototyping and continuous improvement
β’ Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working across the stack when needed
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity with support from senior team members
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $175,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidateβs specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the roleβs requirements.
