About the Role
WHOOP is seeking a Staff EE Tech Lead to join our Hardware team. This role involves tactical leadership in developing the next generation of wearable platforms, guiding the design of critical subsystems that define our products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead electrical development of core wearable systems from concept through ramp
- →Act as technical lead across high-impact SKUs, balancing hands-on execution with strategic guidance
- →Partner with Mechanical, Firmware, Sensor, and Product teams to shape architecture and system integration
- →Oversee designs of miniaturized, low power, low noise, mixed signal electronics
- →Manage and mentor a small team of engineers
- →Architect, design, and validate low-power, low-noise, mixed-signal electronics
- →Perform design reviews and debug as needed
- →Engage with suppliers and CMs to support NPI builds
- →Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally
Requirements
- ✓BS or greater in Electrical Engineering or related field
- ✓7+ years experience in relevant fields
- ✓Demonstrated ability to manage technical priorities and lead complex design efforts
- ✓Deep knowledge of circuit design, low-power systems, digital communication protocols
- ✓Proficiency in schematic capture, layout review, and ECAD tools
- ✓Strong lab and debug skills with multimeters, oscilloscopes, VNAs, etc.
- ✓Clear, collaborative communicator comfortable working across disciplines
