About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager for Music Distribution & Rights Management at Warner Music Group. This role involves managing the vital link between music creation and a fan’s headphones, ensuring our music reaches platforms like Spotify and Apple Music globally while protecting the complex rights that ensure our artists get paid.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build deep empathy for our labels, operations teams, and global partners by maintaining a constant dialogue with them.
- →Define and communicate the long-term vision and roadmap for your products, ensuring it aligns with WMG’s global distribution and rights strategy.
- →Work in a "Product Trio" alongside Engineering and Design to solve complex problems.
- →Serve as the primary author of PRDs and drive development from ideation through technical delivery.
- →Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, internal messaging, and launch plans.
- →Architect solutions that embrace evolving landscapes like AI while building the guardrails necessary to protect artist livelihoods.
- →Continuously monitor product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends.
Requirements
- ✓Experienced: You have at least 5 years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to digital media, supply chains, or complex financial/rights systems.
- ✓Technical & Business Savvy: You can discuss system architecture with engineers and business constraints with executives.
- ✓A Master Storyteller: You own the "Why" and can easily adjust your communication style for different audiences.
- ✓Biased to Action: You have a proven ability to unstick a team, make difficult prioritization decisions, and navigate the ambiguity of a global business.
- ✓Humble Leader: You have strong opinions, held weakly; you are quick to share credit with your team and accept responsibility when things don’t go as planned.
