This is an exciting growth opportunity for experienced team managers ready to take the next step into group-level leadership β expanding their scope from leading a single team to owning multiple teams in a high-impact, cross-functional environment.
As Head of Merchant Onboarding, you will lead Woltβs end-to-end onboarding organization across verticals, overseeing five teams (25β30 employees) and managing managers across multiple operational domains. You will combine multi-team leadership with hands-on technical ownership, acting as the primary operational counterpart to Product and ensuring that onboarding systems, tools, and workflows scale seamlessly with the business.
This is a high-impact role at the core of Woltβs merchant operations, directly influencing speed, quality, and scalability across Restaurants and diverse Retail verticals.
What youβll be doing
β’ Lead a multi-layer organization of 5 teams (25β30 employees), including managing managers and strengthening leadership capabilities across teams.
Own end-to-end onboarding operations across Restaurants and Retail verticals, including complex menu builds, venue setup, system configurations, and related operational workflows.
β’ Serve as the main operational counterpart to Product for all onboarding-related systems β identifying bugs, defining operational requirements, influencing prioritization, and ensuring effective implementation.
β’ Maintain deep hands-on expertise in onboarding systems, with the ability to step in, build, troubleshoot, and provide technical escalation support when needed.
β’ Identify operational and technological bottlenecks and drive scalable process improvements.
β’ Define and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and quality standards across teams.
β’ Lead cross-functional initiatives that require alignment beyond direct reporting lines.
β’ Ensure strong collaboration and communication with global stakeholders, operating confidently in English.
Our humble expectations
β’ Proven people management experience leading a team of at least 10 employees (mandatory).
β’ Strong cross-functional leadership experience, particularly in close partnership with Product and global stakeholders.
β’ High technical orientation with the ability to deeply understand systems, troubleshoot operational challenges, and translate business needs into product requirements.
β’ Hands-on mindset with the confidence to independently resolve system and process issues.
β’ Demonstrated experience building, optimizing, and scaling operational processes in fast-growing environments.
β’ Strong prioritization skills and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, high-growth setting.
β’ Fluent English (written and verbal).
