About the Role
We are looking for a security engineer to join WRITER, where you'll build security foundations for AI systems powering major brands. You'll work at the intersection of application security, AI infrastructure, and developer enablement, helping define how enterprise AI applications are secured.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build security into the DNA of our AI platform by conducting threat modeling sessions with product teams
- →Own and evolve our application security program including SAST/DAST scanning in CI/CD pipelines
- →Partner with engineering teams to establish secure coding standards and reusable security patterns
- →Design and recommend security features for customer environments
- →Integrate AI agents to increase security team velocity
- →Lead security assessments and penetration testing of applications and APIs
- →Design security controls for data pipelines and model training environments
- →Stay ahead of emerging threats in AI/ML security
Requirements
- ✓2+ years of hands-on experience in application security engineering
- ✓Understanding of developer experience and workflows
- ✓Technical expertise in at least two programming languages (Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- ✓Knowledge of security tools including SAST/DAST solutions and DevSecOps practices
- ✓Excellent communication skills to explain complex security concepts
- ✓A builder's mindset focused on automation and scaling
