About the Role
We are seeking a System Support Specialist to join our team at Wyetech, LLC. This role involves providing system support for a software development program, including setup, configuration, and software installation for various systems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage a Red Hat Linux environment
- →Provide end user support, patch support, and updates
- →Assist with system specifications and configuration
- →Provide weekly status reports on activities and ongoing projects
- →Troubleshoot Linux systems identifying hardware, software, and networking issues
- →Ensure systems comply with enterprise licensing agreements
- →Manage audit logs and system backups
- →Script common system administration functions
- →Coordinate activities with a virtual server group
- →Ensure systems maintain required configuration profiles
Requirements
- ✓TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph
- ✓Bachelor's degree
- ✓Minimum five years of experience with LAN, WAN, computer hardware, and software
- ✓Experience with Linux system administration including RPM install/upgrade and Kickstart procedures
- ✓Experience with Unix administration
- ✓Knowledge of performance tuning and security hardening procedures
- ✓Experience with VMware and configuring virtual machines
- ✓Ability to provide assistance to users and resolve network support issues
- ✓Experience ensuring licensing agreements and system currency
