About the Role
We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our Global Technology Team and make a real impact on our customers' experiences. This role involves working on Xplor's core Office (Admin) platform, supporting critical business workflows across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems using PHP and Laravel, alongside frontend features built in Vue.js
- →Contribute across both the modern Laravel/Vue stack and the existing CodeIgniter system as part of an ongoing modernisation effort
- →Manage deployments directly via AWS, including hands-on work with ECS, Lambda, SQS, and pipelines
- →Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, and product teams through structured feature groups to refine requirements and deliver production-ready work
- →Participate actively in code reviews, upholding code quality, and aligning your work with existing architecture patterns
- →Deeply understand existing systems and architecture before gradually growing your influence on technical decision-making
- →Work effectively across time zones as part of a distributed team spanning Australia and India
Requirements
- ✓Experience with PHP and Laravel
- ✓Knowledge of Vue.js for frontend development
- ✓Familiarity with CodeIgniter and modernisation efforts
- ✓Experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, SQS
- ✓Strong understanding of deployment pipelines
- ✓Ability to work in a distributed team across different time zones
