We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the Tracking Experience squad at Yazio β the team behind the core of our product: the daily food tracking experience, AI-driven insights, and the features millions of people interact with every single day.
This isn't a role where you'll be handed a brief and asked to make it pretty. You'll be the design voice of the squad β owning the full journey from discovery to handoff, working directly with your PM and engineers, and presenting your work to senior stakeholders. This role is 100% remote and open to candidates based in Germany, Spain, Portugal, or the U.K.
YOUR MISSION
- Own the discovery process end-to-end β define and execute research plans for new initiatives, select the right methods (user interviews, usability tests, assisted testing), and translate qualitative and quantitative insights into design solutions that move the needle for our users and our OKRs
- Design high-quality, high-fidelity mobile experiences for core product features β food tracking, AI-driven daily insights, habit formation flows β with a relentless focus on reducing cognitive load, driving engagement, and getting the details right
- Prototype rapidly and intelligently β use AI-powered tools (like Lovable) alongside Figma to generate and explore multiple design directions quickly, then apply your taste and judgment to identify and refine the best solution
- Collaborate closely with engineering to validate the feasibility of your solutions, align on implementation, and ensure the final build matches the design intent β you'll be in the room (or the call) where technical decisions get made
- Present your work with confidence at our bi-weekly Product Review β you'll record async Loom updates and present live to senior stakeholders, defending your design rationale and handling feedback constructively
- Contribute to our design system and project libraries β helping build a consistent, scalable foundation that supports the whole product org
- Champion the user in every initiative β bringing a behavioural and psychological lens to your work, because our users are real people trying to build real habits, and how a feature feels matters as much as how it works
YOUR PROFILE
- You have proven experience as a Senior Product Designer on B2C mobile products β you understand the difference between designing for consumers and designing for businesses, and you know how to design for emotion, habit, and daily engagement
- You have hands-on experience leading product discovery β you don't wait to be told what to research; you define the question, choose the method, run the research, and bring back insights that actually change the design
- You have strong visual craft and an exceptionally high bar for quality β you can tell immediately when something looks off, and you won't ship something you're not proud of
- You are genuinely fluent with AI design tools β you use tools beyond Figma in your day-to-day workflow (Lovable, Replit, Framer, Dovetail, or similar) and can show us concrete examples; bonus points if you've worked on product features that incorporate AI
- You are a confident, clear communicator β you can present your design rationale to non-designers, handle direct feedback from senior stakeholders without losing your footing, and push back constructively when you disagree
- You are comfortable with full ownership and autonomy β there's no Design Lead in the squad; your decisions are the design decisions, and you thrive in that environment rather than finding it uncomfortable
- You bring experience with core feature design and activation flows β ideally in health, fitness, nutrition, or another habit-driven consumer product; you understand habit formation loops and know how to design for motivation, not just usability
- Gamification experience is a nice-to-have β not required, but genuinely valued
