About the Role
We are looking for a Design Systems Designer to join Zip, a purpose-built procurement platform that helps enterprises manage their spending. You will lead our design systems, working closely with frontend teams to evolve our design patterns and build best practices across product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Contribute to Zip’s vision for reimagining the procurement space with modern interfaces
- →Grow and mature our Design System capabilities by pioneering new foundations, components, and methodologies
- →Develop a long-term strategy for design systems at Zip and collaborate with engineering and design teams
- →Drive requirements gathering to build flexible and extensible frameworks
- →Set high quality standards for user interfaces and inventory inconsistencies
- →Develop usage guidelines for components and patterns
- →Organize robust Figma libraries
- →Collaborate with designers to maintain a holistic product vision
- →Evangelize the importance of the Design System across the company
Requirements
- ✓5+ years experience as a design systems or product designer at a digital product company
- ✓At least 3 years of design systems experience
- ✓Expertise in Figma, Storybook, WCAG compliance, and other design systems tools
- ✓Foundational understanding of HTML/CSS and designing across multiple breakpoints and devices
- ✓Strong portfolio demonstrating Design System deliverables
- ✓Exceptionally strong visual, UI and interaction skills
- ✓Highly organized with experience driving design processes
- ✓Excitement about socializing a design system across an organization
- ✓Ability to thrive in ambiguity and prioritize work based on user needs and business goals
- ✓Great presentation, collaboration and communication skills
- ✓Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects
