About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Manager of Software Engineering to lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team that delivers key platform capabilities. This role will partner with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders to drive software delivery excellence in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5-8 software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- →Oversee the planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of high-quality, scalable software solutions.
- →Partner with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
- →Define and track key engineering metrics to monitor team performance and outcomes.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- ✓7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong technical background.
- ✓3+ years in a people-leadership or engineering management role, ideally in SaaS or cloud products.
- ✓Strong experience in backend development, with mandatory deep proficiency in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- ✓Experience with API design, distributed systems, microservices, and scalable architecture.
- ✓Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
- ✓Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
