Product Manager - Tax / Finance:
You will own the end-to-end indirect tax technology ecosystem, serving as the product and solution leader for Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax (TR OneSource) and its integrations with Salesforce (SFDC) for quote-time tax determination and SAP S/4 HANA for actual tax posting and compliance. You will partner with Tax, Finance, and Engineering teams to drive platform strategy, lead delivery, and ensure scalable, compliant indirect tax solutions across the business. You will participate in the AI journey and identify opportunities to build AI-powered solutions that increase operational efficiency for the Tax team.
What You'll do:
β’ Own the product roadmap for OneSource TR, including configuration, enhancements, and integrations with SFDC and SAP.
β’ Design and maintain indirect tax determination setup in OneSource TR β tax rules, jurisdictions, product taxability, exemption certificates, and rate management.
β’ Lead integration architecture between OneSource TR and Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud for real-time quote-time tax calculation.
β’ Lead integration architecture between OneSource TR and SAP S/4 HANA for actual tax posting, including data flows and custom class development.
β’ Lead requirement gathering with Tax and Finance stakeholders across indirect tax functions (sales tax, VAT, GST, use tax); identify and implement AI solutions to drive operational efficiency.
β’ Configure SAP FI tax components: tax codes, condition types, tax procedures, and jurisdiction codes.
β’ Collaborate with Salesforce, Order to Cash, Finance, and ABAP technical teams on custom enhancements and field mappings for OneSource integrations.
β’ Debug and resolve tax transaction issues across SAP and OneSource platforms.
β’ Establish trusted relationships with cross-functional teams, vendors (including Thomson Reuters), and implementation partners.
β’ Stay current on indirect tax regulatory changes and technology trends; champion best-in-class solutions with an AI-first mindset.
β’ Extend support and act as backup for the SAP FICO Product Managers.
What you bring:
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
β’ 8+ years of SAP Finance functional consulting experience with a strong focus on indirect tax.
β’ 5+ years of hands-on experience with TR OneSource, including tax determination setup, rule configuration, and platform administration.
β’ Proven experience integrating OneSource TR with Salesforce (SFDC) for quote-time tax and with SAP S/4 HANA for actual tax posting.
β’ Deep understanding of indirect tax concepts: sales tax, VAT, GST, use tax, exemption certifi cates, and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
β’ Experience working with ABAP teams on custom enhancements, BAdIs, and field mappings for tax integrations.
β’ Ability to define architecture landscapes, map business capabilities, and bridge current-to-fu ture state gaps.
β’ Strong executive communication skills; experience presenting proposals to senior leadership.
β’ Experience managing vendor relationships and conducting business and technical discovery.
β’ Familiarity with AI tools, agentic frameworks, or low-code/no-code platforms for building tax team microapps and agents (strong plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ SAP Certification in Finance or Tax; Thomson Reuters OneSource certification or formal training.
β’ Experience in High Tech or SaaS industries, including subscription and usage-based tax treatment.
β’ Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or Salesforce Billing in a tax context.
β’ Familiarity with SAP BRIM, FICA, or Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
β’ CPA, CMI (Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation), or MBA.
