About the role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator with deep expertise in collaboration and productivity platforms. This role is all about technical depth and ownership β architecting reliable systems, solving the toughest problems, digging into logs, writing automation, and owning the stability and performance of Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, Jira, and Office 365. You'll serve as a senior technical authority and escalation point, a trusted partner who thrives on solving what others can't, and an engineer who designs smarter, scalable ways to keep systems running seamlessly to drive employee productivity across the organization.
What You'll do:
β’ Serve as the final escalation point for complex incidents/requests across Slack, GSuite (Google Workspace), Zoom, ProofPoint, Jira, and Office 365.
β’ Lead deep technical troubleshooting at the application, integration, and infrastructure layers β including API calls, logs, and network dependencies.
β’ Configure, optimize, and maintain these platforms for performance, security, and scalability.
β’ Write and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, or similar) for repetitive tasks, reporting, and integrations.
β’ Diagnose and resolve authentication/SSO/MFA issues (Mainly Okta, some Microsoft AD).
β’ Analyze system and application logs to pinpoint root causes and prevent recurrence.
β’ Build and maintain integrations between enterprise tools (e.g., Slack bots, Jira workflows, Zoom add-ons, Office 365 connectors), ensuring reliability and security.
β’ Drive and/or otherwise assist with SaaS application deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
β’ Manage vendor relationships, driving accountability on critical issues and providing feedback to influence product roadmaps where appropriate.
β’ Document troubleshooting processes, scripts, and technical solutions for knowledge sharing.
What you bring:
β’ 8+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering, SaaS administration, or platform engineering, with a demonstrated track record of senior-level technical ownership.
Expert-level experience with Slack admin console, GSuite (Google Workspace), Zoom admin portal, Jira administration, ProofPoint, and Office 365 tenant management.Strong expertise in identity and access management, including SSO integrations, MFA, and directory services (Okta).Advanced scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Python, or comparable languages, with experience building reusable tools and integrations.Proven ability to debug APIs and integrations between enterprise SaaS platforms.Fluency with log analysis platforms, monitoring dashboards, and observability tooling.Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset β proven track record of resolving βunsolvableβ issues.
Very strong βcan-doβ attitude with a strong desire to partner with the Engineering and Security teams that we work with every day.
Nice to have:
β’ Experience in a SaaS, startup, or high-growth tech environment.
β’ Familiarity with device management platforms (Intune, Jamf).
β’ Knowledge of security/compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA).
β’ Experience with automation and/or AI platforms.
