About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the team building tools for Zoox's autonomous ride-sharing service. This role plays a critical part in bringing Zoox’s mission of delivering safe, seamless autonomous mobility to life.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead a team of engineers building large-scale web applications for Zoox's autonomous robotaxi service
- →Partner with Product, Design, and Executive leadership to translate business objectives into a technical roadmap
- →Advocate for the team, grow engineers, resolve conflicts, and foster inclusivity and collaboration
- →Manage resources to enhance team efficiency and prioritize feature delivery
- →Provide technical support on architectural decisions across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI
- →Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and promote engineering best practices
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- ✓Minimum of 2 years of experience in Engineering Management
- ✓Minimum of 2 years of experience developing full-stack web applications
- ✓Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks like Vue, React, or Svelte
- ✓Experience with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure platforms
- ✓Strong communication skills for collaborating across cross-functional teams
