About the Role
Zuora is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Integration Hub team, responsible for building the connective tissue of the Subscription Economy. This role involves designing and developing high-performance integration services, event-driven systems, and extensible APIs that power mission-critical business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign and build scalable integration services, APIs, and connectors
- βDevelop event-driven and microservices-based architectures to enable real-time data flows
- βPartner closely with Product, Platform, Security, and external partners to deliver reliable and extensible integration capabilities
- βImprove system performance, observability, and resilience across distributed systems
- βWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with engineering best practices
- βContribute to architectural discussions and drive technical improvements across the Integration Hub platform
Requirements
- βB.Tech / B.E. in Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline
- β5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development
- βStrong expertise in Java (preferred) or another modern programming language
- βExperience building RESTful APIs and distributed microservices
- βFamiliarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka or similar messaging systems)
- βStrong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- βExperience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL, AWS RDS)
- βKnowledge of system reliability, observability, and performance optimization
- βStrong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
- βExperience working on integration platforms, SaaS products, or enterprise systems is a strong plus
- βCuriosity and enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies and AI-powered development tools
