You know that one engineer in the team who: - Reviews PRs like their life depends on it - Still pushes production code themselves - Cares about crash rates and team velocity - Ends up mentoring people without the title Yeah — we’re looking for that person. 👀 We’re hiring SDE III+ (Android) at Truemeds 📍 Bangalore (5 days WFO) 🏢 Product-based backgrounds preferred This isn’t a “choose one” role. You’ll own a team AND the codebase. Meaning: - You’ll guide engineers, but also open your own PRs - You’ll define standards, and also be held to them - You’ll ship features, fix crashes, and question decisions What you’ll be deep into: - Building Android apps from scratch using Kotlin (proper architecture, not patchwork) - Translating designs into clean, pixel-perfect UI with designers - Integrating APIs & third-party SDKs without breaking things later - Writing unit + instrumentation tests (not optional here) - Debugging memory leaks, ANRs, and performance bottlenecks - Owning observability: Crashlytics, Sentry, Play Console Vitals — crash-free rate actually matters 📊 - Setting up guardrails: Detekt, ktlint, SonarQube, PR-level checks to catch issues early - Managing Play Store releases with staged rollouts, feature flags & quick rollback readiness - Stack (depth > buzzwords): - Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle - MVVM / MVI / Clean Architecture - Jetpack Compose, Retrofit/OkHttp, Room/SQLite, Hilt/Koin - Crashlytics, Sentry, LeakCanary, Android Profiler, Perfetto - Strong Git + CI/CD fundamentals You’ll enjoy this role if: - You’ve worked in product companies where things actually scale - You care about code quality and what happens after release - You don’t think “senior” means stepping away from coding - You’re comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks Extra brownie points if you’ve touched: - React Native (native modules, JS bridge debugging) - Modularization, A/B testing (Remote Config / LaunchDarkly), or NDK If this sounds like you, you already know what to do.
