Data Architect / Expert – Azure & Databricks
10 + years experience
11:00 am to 8 pm
5–6 hours daily overlap with the USA team
(EST time zone)

India Remote Opportunity
• Architect, design, and govern scalable data platforms and solutions leveraging Azure and Databricks.
• Define end-to-end data architecture patterns — ingestion, storage, processing, modeling, and serving — based onLakehouse and governance principles.
• Drive data modeling and design standards (conceptual, logical, and physical) aligned with best practices and performance requirements.
• Oversee the design and optimization of data pipelines and workflows using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
• Implement and guide CI/CD and environment management through Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) and other automation tools.
• Ensure performance tuning and optimization across Spark, SQL, and Python-based workloads.
• Apply software engineering best practices (TDD, modular design, CI/CD, code reviews) to data solution development.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Engineering, with at least5 years hands-on in Azure & Databricks.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Governance, Metadata Management).
• Strong technical experience with:
o Databricks – Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Workflows, Unity Catalog, MLflow basics, Databricks Asset Bundles
o Azure Data Services – ADF, Azure Synapse (good to have), Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL
o Python, SQL, Spark – with proven performance optimization and scalability skills
• Experience defining data modeling standards and implementing data lineage, cataloging, and security controls.
• Ability to lead data modernization initiatives and design architectures that support analytics, ML, and AI use cases.
• Strong track record of architectural governance and accelerating team delivery through design clarity and technical leadership.

• Experience integrating AI-driven development tools (e.g., Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot) to boost productivity and quality.
• Exposure to Generative AI and LLMOps in Databricks (Model Serving, MosaicML, Vector Search) – nice to have.
