🧩 Business Analyst Federal Agency | QLD / ACT / VIC / NSW | Hybrid Must be an Australian Citizen & able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 Estimated Start: ASAP Role Closes: 10:00 AM, 31 March 2025 Contract: Up to 30 June 2027 (Option of 2 × 12‑month or 2 × 18‑month extensions) Hours: 40 hours per week A federal agency is seeking experienced Business Analysts to support a major national transformation initiative under the Indigo Program. These roles will work within multidisciplinary teams to analyse business needs, shape user‑centred services, and influence key outcomes across a large‑scale modernisation program. Applicants across multiple states are welcome, with hybrid work arrangements available. Work must align with Canberra time. 🔍 What You’ll Do * Plan, facilitate, and document user interviews to identify business problems and analyse root causes. * Design and run workshops with diverse internal and external stakeholders. * Develop business process models, workflows, and service artefacts in collaboration with agency teams. * Build strong stakeholder relationships and foster a productive, collaborative environment. * Undertake requirements mapping, traceability, and documentation of business needs. * Translate business needs into clear outcomes and problem statements for complex government systems. * Analyse business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. * Represent the agency in internal and external forums, promoting program objectives. * Apply sound judgement to make decisions aligned with legislation, policy, and best‑practice principles. * Perform additional duties as required to support program success. 🧠 What You Bring (Essential) * Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst with strong exposure to user experience and/or service design. * Proven experience producing artefacts such as journey maps and service blueprints. * Ability to operate autonomously within a program or project environment. * Strong communication skills with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs across a geographically dispersed network. * Demonstrated analytical capability and experience contributing to business improvement strategies. * Ability to translate between business and technical language effectively. * Experience managing staff, supporting capability uplift, and promoting professionalism. * Demonstrated integrity and ability to deliver results within legislative and policy frameworks. 🎓 Desirable Experience as a Business Analyst in one or more of the following domains: * Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Service Management, Human Resources, Information Systems. * Exposure to large‑scale government transformation programs. * Familiarity with modern service design practices and tools. 📧 Contact: [Upgrade to PRO to see contact] 📞 0450 099 387 💬 Reach out for a confidential chat or more information about this opportunity.
