Mokeham Publishing Inc. specializes in publishing periodicals and books that focus on the Netherlands and #Dutch heritage in North America. Established in 2007, the company began with Maandblad de Krant, a Dutch-language newspaper for Canada and the USA. In 2011, Mokeham Publishing launched DUTCH the magazine, a bimonthly English-language publication. Role Description This is a freelance, remote role for motivated and reliable freelance writers. The writer will create engaging content for our bimonthly magazine, including articles and features related to the Netherlands and Dutch culture in North America. We cover travel, art, literature, people, music, food, and more. Responsibilities include conducting research, developing fresh content ideas, and adhering to editorial guidelines. The role requires collaboration with the editor while managing deadlines independently. Qualifications *Experience in writing engaging, well-researched articles. *Strong skills in conducting research and brainstorming unique content ideas. *Ability to refine your work and ensure it aligns with our editorial standards. *Familiarity with Dutch culture, history, or language is highly advantageous. *The ability to meet strict deadlines. *Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
