Data Scientist

We are hiring for a Senior Data Scientist with 5–7 years of experience to join our team in Toronto on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a data storyteller who excels at the intersection of complex mathematics and business strategy, turning massive datasets into a competitive advantage. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade machine learning models. - Conduct strategic exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns in structured and unstructured data. - Collaborate with Data Engineers to build robust, automated workflows and scalable data architectures. - Translate complex technical findings into elegant dashboards using Power BI or Tableau for stakeholder understanding. - Stay ahead of the curve by experimenting with NLP, Deep Learning, and the latest MLOps practices. Qualifications: - 5–7 years in a dedicated Data Science role with a proven track record of deploying models to production. - Mastery of Python and SQL, with deep experience in Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. - Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and predictive modeling. - Experience working within AWS, Azure, or GCP, and handling large-scale data using Spark or Hadoop. - Bonus points for experience with Docker/Kubernetes or specialized knowledge in NLP or Computer Vision.
