We have a new contract opportunity for a Database Administrator I (DBA / Database Analyst) with one of our large Power & Utilities clients based in Charlotte, NC.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Type: 12-month W2 contract (potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $37.00 β $42.00/hr
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work on Primary Talent Partnersβ W2 (no sponsorship)

About the Role:
The Database Analyst / DBA works on the infrastructure side of IT, focusing on the installation, support, and maintenance of database management systems. This role supports production, staging, and QA databases, ensuring availability, security, performance, and data integrity while following best practices and delivering excellent customer service.
Youβll collaborate closely with IT teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved database utilization, monitoring, security, backup, recovery, and performance. This role may also provide technical database guidance to development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, support, and maintain database management systems
Support production, staging, and QA databases
Ensure database availability, access, security, and integrity
Perform database monitoring, backup, recovery, and performance tuning
Partner with IT management and clients to recommend improvements
Provide technical database expertise to development teams as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or related field OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
1β3 years of related work experience
Experience with SQL or equivalent database programming languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Access SQL, Python, etc.)
Knowledge of file structures, database design, retrieval, and access methods
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to analyze business problems and identify technical solutions
