Job Title: Chinese Translator (2) Job Company: Vipawa Works Location: Tanzania Job Description: Vipawa Works is hiring 2 Chinese Translators to facilitate effective communication and linguistic support for our international projects. These roles are essential for bridging communication gaps between our Chinese-speaking partners and local teams located in Mtwara, Kigoma, and Dar es Salaam. The translators will be involved in verbal interpretation during meetings and site visits, as well as the translation of technical and administrative documents. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of linguistic proficiency in Chinese and possess a deep understanding of cultural nuances to ensure accurate interpretation. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work in various environments, from corporate offices to field sites. The positions are available to support our operations in Mtwara, Kigoma, and Dar es Salaam. Job Requirements: • Certificate or above in a relevant field. • Linguistic education related to Chinese language. • Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese and English/Swahili. • Strong interpretation skills for business meetings and field work. • Ability to translate technical and administrative documents. • Cultural awareness and sensitivity for effective communication. • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work accurately under pressure. • Experience in a professional translation or interpretation role. • Willingness to travel between project sites in Tanzania.
