🌐 WE’RE HIRING: Translator (English ⇄ Myanmar) 🌐 Do you have a strong command of both English and Myanmar? Can you translate meaning accurately while keeping the tone and context? We are looking for a Translator (English–Myanmar–English) to support our media and content projects. Job Responsibilities • Translate written content such as books, literature, news articles, and advertising copy accurately, ensuring the original meaning is not distorted • Produce translations that are clear, concise, grammatically correct, and use simple, natural language • Perform oral interpretation for meetings, live broadcasts, and events by pre-studying relevant materials and delivering accurate two-way interpretation • Review translated content to ensure it aligns with local language usage, cultural context, and appropriateness • Clarify requirements in advance with Project Managers and Clients, and work closely with Editors to polish translations to final quality • Continuously research and learn technical and specialized terminology, maintain terminology lists by subject area, and ensure consistent usage within the department • Maintain professional confidentiality and ensure that all translated content is not disclosed under any circumstances. Skills & Requirements • Minimum education: Basic high school graduate • Open to all genders, no age limit • Candidates with relevant work experience will be given priority • Strong command of Myanmar language including vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, spelling, and typing skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google tools, and subtitle editor apps/applications • Good knowledge of English language and culture, with the ability to translate both written and spoken content • Passionate about translation work and interested in writing and creating scripts or storylines for TV and media programs • Interested in the media industry, with creative thinking and the ability to apply ideas practically • Patient, friendly, a team player, and possesses good communication and interpersonal skills • Willing to travel as required by project needs.
