Day to Day Responsibilities
1. Attend daily stand-up meetingsΒ
2. Facilitate daily testing meetings as a place for developer hand offs
3. Attend and actively participate in code review meetings
4. Prepare test case documents to cover both functional use cases and source to target data comparison
5. Proactively communicate to the developer on the bugs
6. Write SQL queries as necessary to test the ETLs
7. Review the performance of the ETLs to ensure it is completing under the defined run times
8. Provide sign off as per the defined release process

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented ETL Healthcare QA Tester to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of healthcare data pipelines. This role will partner closely with data engineers, developers, and stakeholders to validate ETL processes participate in code reviews and deliver high-quality testing results in a regulated healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
Review ETL design and implementation through active participation in code reviews
Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test plans for ETL and data warehouse solutions
Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across multiple data sources
Perform data quality checks, including reconciliation, completeness, accuracy, and integrity testing
Execute functional, regression, and integration testing for ETL workflows
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
Analyze test results and deliver clear, concise test reports to project teams and stakeholders
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues
Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA)

Required Qualifications
Experience as a QA Tester focused on ETL or data validation
Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and relational databases
Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis
Hands-on experience creating test cases, test scenarios, and executing test plans
Ability to participate effectively in code reviews and provide quality-focused feedback
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Experience working in healthcare or regulated data environments

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with healthcare data models (claims, clinical, eligibility, provider data, etc.)
Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, Talend, DataStage, or similar)
Exposure to automation or data testing frameworks
Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies
