Founding Security Engineer

🚨 Hiring: Founding Security Engineer (Web3) 💰 $150k–$250k base + equity 🌎 Remote (Europe / Americas) We’re partnering with a high-growth Web3 company pioneering asset tokenization—bringing institutional-grade assets on-chain and unlocking DeFi composability for RWAs. They’re scaling fast (approaching $1B+ TVL), and this is a mission-critical first security hire to build and own security across the entire stack. 🛠 What you’ll be doing: • Own and build the entire security function (Web2 + Web3) • Secure smart contracts, APIs, and user-facing applications • Harden AWS/GCP/Cloudflare infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines • Implement monitoring, detection, and incident response systems • Lead audits, access controls, and security-first engineering practices ✅ What they’re looking for: • Strong hands-on security engineering experience (infra, cloud, product) • Proven ability to build security systems from scratch • Experience in Web3 or high-scale fintech environments • Deep expertise in threat modeling, pentesting, and incident response • Comfortable being both architect and executor Bonus: • SOC2 / ISO27001 / GDPR exposure • Wallet security, MPC, or custody experience • Experience working with auditors, bug bounty platforms, or red teams 🎯 This could be a great fit if: • You’re a Senior/Staff Security Engineer from a crypto or fintech company • You want full ownership vs working in a siloed security team • You enjoy building from zero → one in high-impact environments • You care about securing real value at scale This is a rare opportunity to define security at a company where it’s core to the product, not an afterthought—with real ownership and impact as they scale beyond $1B TVL.
