Freelance Translation Project Manager

We’re hiring again 👋 Our production team keeps expanding – This time, we’re looking for a freelance translation project manager to join us! In this role, you’ll work with a group of experienced translation and content project managers delivering multilingual projects for some of the world’s leading cycling, running and outdoor/action sports brands. You’ll manage translation and localization projects end to end – from briefing and coordination through to delivery – working closely with clients, translators, editors and internal teams to ensure on-brand, consistent and on-time delivery. 📍 Fully remote within CET / GMT / EEST You can be based anywhere as long as you're within one of these time zones. 🤝 Freelance, part-time collaboration Hours will vary based on project load, but we’re aiming for a consistent weekly baseline to get started (around 5–10h/week during onboarding), with the goal to scale up significantly as the collaboration settles. 📆 Start date: as soon as possible 🎯 What you'll be doing – Managing translation projects end to end, from briefing to delivery – Working directly in Phrase TMS on a daily basis (due to capacity constraints, we are only considering candidates who already have advance knowledge of Phrase) – Coordinating translators and editors across multiple languages – Providing backup coverage for other project managers on their main accounts – Potentially supporting SEO localization workflows as part of broader localization projects – Communicating directly with clients when needed to clarify scope, timelines and requirements This is a hands-on, operational PM role in a fast-paced environment. 👀 What we’re looking for – 2–3+ years of experience as a translation project manager on the agency side – Strong, proven experience with Phrase TMS – you must be able to work independently from day one – Confidence managing complex workflows – Comfort with client-facing communication (written and video calls) – Near-native English, plus at least one additional language – Ability to work quickly, stay organized and keep projects moving, working well independently as well as part of a team – Comfortable working with systems and processes, while you also understand that strong delivery depends on clear communication and good working relationships – Genuine interest in, and familiarity with, outdoor or action sports (this is a non-negotiable) 🏄 Why work with us – You’ll work exclusively with outdoor and action sports brands – You’ll join a highly specialized, remote-first localization team – You’ll get access to meaningful gear discounts on brands you actually use outdoors! 😄 📩 Sounds like a good fit?
