🚨Hiring – Sr. GCP Cloud Engineer | Cloud Architect (Hands-on Terraform | Embedded DevOps) 📍 Location: Minneapolis, MN (Onsite) 📄 Employment: Contract (W2 / 1099) 🔥 We are hiring a Senior GCP Cloud Engineer who can act as BOTH: ✔ Cloud Architect (design & decision maker) ✔ Hands-on Engineer (build & implement) ✔ Embedded Platform Partner (work directly with dev teams) This is NOT a support role. This is a high-impact cloud architecture + engineering leadership role inside application teams. ☁️ Core Responsibilities: Own GCP architecture decisions across application teams Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions Embed with development teams to accelerate delivery Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (enterprise-grade modules) Work with Google Cloud Foundation Fabric (CFF) or equivalent frameworks Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred) Act as Tier 3 escalation for complex cloud & infrastructure issues Define and enforce DevSecOps best practices across teams Guide adoption of cloud-native design patterns (GCP-first architecture) Mentor engineers on cloud engineering best practices ☁️ Required Skills (Must Have): 🔷 Google Cloud Platform (GCP) GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) Cloud Run Compute Engine BigQuery Cloud Storage IAM & Security Architecture VPC Networking (Subnets, routing, private access) 🏗 Infrastructure & DevOps Terraform (Enterprise / Modular IaC) CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent) Kubernetes (GKE preferred) Docker containerization Cloud Foundation Fabric (CFF) or similar frameworks 🔐 Architecture & Security IAM design & role-based access control Network architecture (VPC, hybrid connectivity) Security-first cloud design (DevSecOps mindset) Observability (logging, monitoring, troubleshooting) ⚙️ Engineering Mindset Strong hands-on coding & debugging capability (~50%) Experience working inside application development teams Ability to switch between architecture and implementation Strong problem-solving in production environments ⭐ Nice to Have: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification Experience with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) Humanitec / platform engineering experience 🎯 Ideal Candidate Profile: We are looking for professionals who have worked as: GCP Cloud Architect Platform Engineer (GCP) DevOps Architect with GCP exposure Senior Cloud Engineer (Terraform + Kubernetes + GCP) Embedded Cloud Consultant in enterprise teams 📩 Interested candidates can apply or DM directly.
