Instructional Designer

We're hiring a Contract Instructional Designer at Datadog! 🎉 Our Technical Solutions Curriculum team is looking for a full-time, remote contractor to help us rapidly build and adapt pre-scoped leader-training content. This is expected to be a 6-9 month engagement and runs on a month-to-month basis. We’re looking for someone with: 🎯 Strong content design and development skills using Articulate 360 (Rise) (required) 🧠 Ability to design engaging live learning experiences using Google Slides (required) 🛠️ Ability to design and develop learning for both live and on-demand formats (live trainings, Rise modules, facilitator guides, and supporting assets) (required) 🧩 A strong understanding of Sales Engineering, sales leadership, or leadership for technical roles (including the ability to translate seller-focused leadership concepts into SE-leader realities) (required) ✅ Experience working in SaaS (preferred; we’re flexible for strong candidates with go-to-market and sales engineering expertise) ✨ Bonus: Experience working on or partnering closely with leadership training This is a full-time, remote, fast-paced, and collaborative contract role where you’ll work alongside a talented team of curriculum designers to deliver impactful learning at scale. What you’ll do: 🛠️ Transform scoped content into engaging learning experiences Take outlines, source materials, and SME input and turn them into clear, compelling sessions guided by adult learning principles and enablement best practices. 🔁 Review existing Sales Enablement leadership training and adapt it for SE leaders Evaluate current leadership training content and reshape it for Sales Engineering audiences (context, examples, role plays, talk tracks, scenarios, and leader behaviors that match the SE function). 📦 Craft polished, modular enablement assets—fast From slides and facilitator guides to e-learnings, exercises, and resources, you’ll create cohesive, scalable materials ready for delivery. 🎬 Execute content, not strategy Work within established structures and timelines—no stakeholder wrangling or strategic planning required.
