Why do I post the same jobs week after week? No, it's not because we don't have applicants. It's not because we haven't hired people. In fact, last week, our team hired 26 new employees. The truth is, we need a lot of interpreters. Imagine your immigrant parents, grandparents, who bravely moved to a society where their native language is not the official language. If they had an interpreter every time they went to a doctor's appointment, every time they went to the bank, every time they had to deal with public services, life would be much more accessible. This is what interpreters do: They make everyday life possible for those with language barriers. Living in a multicultural society, I hope that every person will get equal access to essential services. This is why I hire interpreters: so I can create opportunities for those who face barriers.
