#URGENTHIRING JOB TITLE : Medical Translator Exp - 2years Project Duration - 3 months Location - Pune Work From Office - 90k - 120k Purpose of the position : To provide accurate interpretation and translation services between Japanese and English for various business activities in the Offshore Development Centre for a Japanese client. This position reports to the Delivery Manager for the Offshore Development Center, for a Japanese client, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and understanding between Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders across projects. The Japanese Interpreter plays a crucial role in facilitating smooth and successful interactions, meetings, and negotiations within the company. Key responsibilities & duties 1.⁠ ⁠Provide accurate interpretation between Japanese and English languages during meetings, discussions, conferences, and other business-related events. 2.⁠ ⁠Assist in translating written documents, such as emails, reports, and presentations, from Japanese to English and vice versa. 3.⁠ ⁠Conduct research and gather information to ensure accurate understanding and interpretation of technical terms and industry-specific jargon. 4.⁠ ⁠Act as a cultural liaison, helping to bridge the gap between Japanese and English-speaking colleagues by explaining cultural nuances and customs. 5.⁠ ⁠Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information and discussions during interpretation sessions. 6.⁠ ⁠Collaborate with other interpreters and translators to ensure consistency and accuracy in language interpretation across different projects and departments. 7.⁠ ⁠Provide language support during negotiations, presentations, and business meetings to facilitate effective communication and understanding between Japanese and English-speaking parties. Academic & trades qualifications 1.⁠ ⁠Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in language. OR 2.⁠ ⁠JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) L2 certification (Preferred) Work experience for a Japanese Interpreter 1.⁠ ⁠Fluent in both Japanese and English languages 2.⁠ ⁠Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages 3.⁠ ⁠Extensive knowledge of Japanese culture, customs, and business etiquette 4.⁠ ⁠Proven experience in interpreting and translating between Japanese and English in a professional setting Skills and Behaviours for a Japanese Interpreter 1.⁠ ⁠English Grammar English vocabulary English writing Spoken English 2.⁠ ⁠Translation 3.⁠ ⁠Communicating information: Active Listening, Asking the right questions, Synthesizing  information 4.⁠ ⁠Relationship Building: Establishing rapport and building trust. 5.⁠ ⁠Strong multitasking skills and attention to details. 6.⁠ ⁠Ability to fix errors and clarify terms."
