This role is ideal for professionals who specialize in server-side development and messaging-based architectures rather than full-stack/UI work. 📌 Position Details Role: Senior Java Developer (Backend) Location: NYC, NY or Edison, NJ (Onsite – Face-to-Face interview required) Duration: 6+ Months Start: ASAP Visa: USC & GC only 💼 Key Responsibilities Design and develop server-side Java applications for equities, securities, and derivatives trading platforms Work extensively with messaging-based systems and enterprise integrations Lead and mentor a small offshore development team, owning deliverables and timelines Collaborate with stakeholders in a fast-paced trading environment Ensure high performance, scalability, and regulatory compliance 🛠 Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of core Java backend/server-side development Strong experience with Spring, XML, Apache Camel Hands-on expertise in message queues: Kafka, JMS, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ Solid SQL skills with RDBMS (SQL Server, Sybase, etc.) Experience in Fixed Income, securities, or derivatives trading platforms Exposure to Agile, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube) Proven experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and ownership ⭐ Preferred Experience Capital markets / financial products (IRD, FX, CRD) Regulatory reporting or collateral management systems Murex exposure is a plus 🎓 Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics 📩 Interested or know someone who fits?
