Managing Editor

Brown Books Publishing Group is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Managing Editor to join our team in Dallas. If you love collaborating with authors, shaping manuscripts, and guiding books from concept to market, this role is for you. A Few Key Responsibilities: • Line edit, copyedit, proof, and occasionally develop manuscripts • Craft and edit sales copy and marketing materials • Communicate with authors and guide them through the editorial process • Mentor junior editors and oversee editorial interns • Manage workflows, timelines, and freelance editors • Support acquisitions, proposals, and special publishing projects Qualifications: • 5+ years of editorial experience • Strong command of The Chicago Manual of Style (18th ed.) • Excellent communication, organization, and editorial judgment • Collaborative, author-focused mindset How to Apply: Send your résumé and cover letter to [Upgrade to PRO to see contact] or apply on LinkedIn
