Role: Manual Tester
Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)
Exp: 7+ Years.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester with a strong emphasis on Manual Testing to join our dynamic team in Plano, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 7 10 years of experience in software testing, demonstrating a deep understanding of manual testing methodologies and practices. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing processes.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for manual testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
Perform regression testing, functional testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software functionality.
Participate in test strategy discussions and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting testing progress and quality status.
Mentor and guide junior testers in best practices for manual testing.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong expertise in Manual Testing techniques and methodologies.
Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP) is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams.
Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.
Experience in API testing and using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7 10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on manual testing.
Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are preferred.
