The organisation Untold Narratives is looking for literary translators from Pashto, Farsi or Dari into English. I only know about them from their website - [Upgrade to PRO to see link] - but it looks like an interesting opportunity.
Call for Literary Translators
As we continue developing the Paranda project for Afghan women writers, we are looking to expand our pool of freelance translators working from Pashto, Farsi, or Dari, into English.
Untoldβs writer development programme supports the work of structurally marginalised writers; shares their stories with wider communities in their own languages; and ensures their work reaches new audiences in translation.
Literary translators work closely with the writers, and a team of international editors. Engagement is on a freelance basis, working remotely. Untoldβs literary translators are based in the UK and internationally. We have occasional in-person meetings, but only where possible.
Please send an expression of interest, with a CV to [Upgrade to PRO to see contact] by 6 May
