Aglocell is looking to add a fractional RF/AI engineer, if interested, see job description below: Fractional RF/AI Engineer Company: Aglocell Commitment: ~10 Hours/Week Location: 100% Remote Time Zone: Availability for regular syncs during US Central Time (CT) business hours. Engagement: 6-Month Initial Contract (Potential for ad-hoc extension) The Mission Bridge the gap between deep-layer RF physics and AI-driven network automation. As Aglocell approaches its first Tier 1 deployment, we need a "domain translator" to ensure our AI logic survives the reality of a live, noisy, high-stakes wireless environment. The Role This is a design and architecture focused role. You won't be writing production code, but you will be the technical authority validating our models. You will work internally with our Data Science and Product teams, with occasional technical deep-dives alongside Tier 1 customer engineering teams. What You’ll Do Digital Twin Theory: Provide the theoretical framework and domain expertise required to build a high-fidelity digital twin of the RAN environment. SON & Optimization: Apply direct experience with existing Self-Organizing Network (SON) applications—specifically ANR, Load Balancing, and CICO—to guide our next-gen AI versions. Validate AI Logic: Review ML models for interference mitigation and spectral efficiency to ensure they align with real-world RF behavior. Architect rApps: Help guide the integration of our software into automation platforms (specifically Ericsson EIAP/SMO environments). Sanity Testing: Act as the final "RF sense check" for feature sets before they hit the Tier 1 deployment phase. The Ideal Profile RAN Automation Veteran: Deep expertise in 4G/5G interference mitigation and network optimization. The "Hybrid" Mindset: You can explain SINR and CQI to a Data Scientist and "Feature Engineering" to a RAN Engineer. Systems Thinker: Technical enough to architect a digital twin from a theoretical standpoint and explain the dependencies of a closed-loop system.
