Security Engineer

🚨 Senior Security Engineer – Boston | Hybrid | Direct Hire 🚨 The Alexander Technology Group is partnering with a well-established private equity firm in Boston on a high-impact Senior Security Engineer search. This is a hands-on, senior-level role — not management. You’ll own the Microsoft security stack end-to-end (Intune, Defender, Purview, AppLocker/WDAC), lead detection & response efforts, manage vendors, and help strengthen controls around emerging AI risks. This environment is regulated (SEC), highly visible, and leadership-facing. You’ll work directly with the CIO/CISO and be part of litigation discussions, LP diligence, audits, and strategic security conversations. They’re looking for someone who: • Has 10–15 years of true hands-on security engineering experience • Comes from a regulated environment (FS, PE, banking, etc.) • Knows the MS security ecosystem cold • Has SOC and incident response depth • Can operate with executive presence and low ego 💰 Base: $150K–$200K (Total comp sweet spot $180K–$225K) 📍 Boston | Hybrid (3 days onsite) High ownership.
