Security Engineer

🚨 Hiring: Senior Security Engineer (Product Security / Fintech) 💰 $155K to $200K 📍 New York, hybrid with 3 days onsite We’re working with a well funded, product driven fintech company helping financial institutions modernise collections, using data to create more transparent and human experiences for borrowers. They’ve already built strong enterprise trust, and are now looking for someone to define how security scales across both product and bank grade systems. 🛠 What you’ll be doing: • Architect security across consumer facing products and enterprise systems • Embed security into product and engineering from the design stage • Build application security across APIs, services, and data layers • Design data protection systems including encryption, access control, and classification • Lead incident response and influence security culture across teams ✅ What they’re looking for: • 5 plus years in security engineering, ideally in fintech or cloud native environments • Strong application security experience • Hands on with AWS, Terraform, and modern cloud environments • Secure coding experience in Python and JavaScript • Solid understanding of OWASP and common vulnerability patterns Bonus: • Experience with SOC 2, PCI DSS, or similar frameworks 🎯 This could be a great fit if: • You’ve worked in environments where security is closely tied to the product • You enjoy thinking end to end, from code to infrastructure to real world impact • You like partnering with engineers early, not just reviewing at the end • You’ve built or owned systems yourself and care about how things scale If you enjoy building security into systems that operate at real world scale, where trust, data, and product are tightly connected, this is a rare opportunity to have meaningful impact. 📩 If this sounds interesting to you (or someone in your network), feel free to reach out for more info.
