Security Operations Engineer

Outside IR35 Contract Opportunity – Security Operations Engineer: I’m working with a high-growth UK consumer tech platform (c. 6M users) supporting frontline workers across the UK and Australia. Private equity-backed and scaling fast, they’re investing heavily in security as their platform expands. This is a hands-on SecOps Engineer focused on reducing noise and driving real security outcomes – not just monitoring. Role and responsibilities: •      Experienced Security Engineer (not SOC / not GRC) •      SaaS, fintech, or high-scale consumer platforms domain experience •      Demonstrable experience across AWS (essential), AppSec fundamentals, WAF/edge tooling(Cloudflare ideally) •      Proven track record of reducing alert fatigue + improving detection •      Tune and optimise Cloudflare (WAF, bot protection, edge security) •      Improve detection quality across a growing AWS environment •      Support a B2C threat landscape (ATO, bots, fraud, credential stuffing) •      3-month initial contract, £500 per day (Outside IR35) •      Hybrid: 2 days/week onsite (London Holborn or Leicester HQ) This is a great opportunity to come in, make an impact quickly, and genuinely improve how security operates at scale.
