We are seeking a Trade Surveillance Business Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity in NYC, NY. This position requires three days on-site and an on-site interview. Only candidates local to the NYC area will be considered.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Create prototypes and build client relationships while managing expectations.
- Work closely with clients to define the scope and business requirements.
- Write detailed functional requirements and use cases.
- Partner with data providers to ensure model requirements are met.
- Support the development team in creating detailed technical specifications.
- Perform independent validation and execution planning.
- Manage the QA team with test case writing.
- Conduct UAT, training sessions, and user demos.
- Support ongoing user requirements and investigate issues.
**Required Skills:**
- Extensive Trade Surveillance experience.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills.
- Financial services experience, preferably in investment banking and trading.
- Business Analysis and Data Analysis experience, with strong data analytical skills (SQL).
- Knowledge of Capital Markets, particularly in Sales & Trading or Investment Banking.
- Familiarity with trades data, positions data, and reference data.
- IT Project Management and SDLC knowledge/experience (Waterfall, Agile).
- Experience working on medium to large-scale development projects.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
