Role Overview
The Video Editor will work with ARAHAβs leadership and content team to transform raw video footage, photos, and audio into compelling, high-quality content aligned with the organizationβs mission and branding. This role requires creativity, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to work independently while presenting concepts and ideas to upper management for feedback and approval.

π¬ Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing & Production
β’ Edit raw footage into polished videos for social media, campaigns, website, and donor communications.
β’ Add graphics, subtitles, transitions, music, and sound effects as needed.
β’ Enhance video quality through color correction, sound balancing, and stabilization.
β’ Create short-form and long-form content based on project requirements.
2. Creative Collaboration
β’ Work closely with upper management to understand campaign goals and messaging.
β’ Present creative concepts, storyboards, and ideas before production.
β’ Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly based on direction.
β’ Contribute your own ideas to elevate content and storytelling.
3. Content Adaptation
β’ Prepare video variations for different platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, website).
β’ Optimize content for audience engagement and platform algorithms.
β’ Convert longer videos into short clips and highlight reels.
4. Asset Management
β’ Organize and maintain a clean library of raw footage, project files, music licenses, and final exports.
β’ Keep track of all media for easy access during future projects.
5. Brand Alignment
β’ Ensure all videos match ARAHAβs brand identity and tone.
β’ Maintain consistent visual style, fonts, colors, and messaging.

π§ Skills & Qualifications
β’ Proven experience in video editing (portfolio required).
β’ Strong proficiency with editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut Desktop, etc.).
β’ Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.
β’ Creative eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
β’ Strong communication and ability to take direction well.
β’ Experience working with nonprofits or humanitarian content is a plus but not required.
