We Are Hiring: Data Quality Analysts (Japanese Language Experts)

📍 Location: Japan (Candidates must be currently based in Japan) 🕒 Experience: 3+ years (preferably in GIS or related fields)

Responsibilities: 🔹 Analyze and process image and video data captured from real-world environments. 🔹 Accurately read and interpret Japanese text on signs and boards (including Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana, and regional variations). 🔹 Label and classify objects and text based on content and meaning, following strict quality and accuracy guidelines. 🔹 Apply an understanding of Japanese cultural and regional nuances to ensure contextually accurate and functional labeling. 🔹 Maintain high-quality, consistent, and reliable data output to meet project standards.

Requirements: 🔹 Japanese Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in written and spoken Japanese. 🔹 Cultural Awareness: Strong understanding of Japanese cultural nuances, public signage conventions, and regional text variations. 🔹 Relevant Experience: Prior experience in GIS or a closely related field is essential. 🔹 Text Interpretation Skills: Proven ability to interpret complex real-world text in images — including distorted, partially obscured, or stylized signage. 🔹 Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and consistency in handling large volumes of data. 🔹 Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. 🔹 Technical Proficiency: Experience with data labeling and annotation tools (e.g., image segmentation, bounding boxes) is preferred. 🔹 Additional Advantage: Background or strong interest in quality assurance, linguistic analysis, or geographical data.
