HIRING: Language Lead - Bahasa Indonesia (Remote)

We are currently looking for an experienced Language Lead to join with our client — supporting AI and machine learning initiatives by ensuring the highest linguistic and cultural quality in data annotation.

Work Location: Remote (Indonesia or global collaboration) Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based

Key Responsibilities: - Act as the primary subject-matter expert for all linguistic, stylistic, and cultural matters within the assigned locale (language + country variant). - Develop and deliver training materials for annotators and raters, including documentation, style guides, and golden sets. - Conduct quality reviews and root cause analyses to maintain consistent linguistic standards. - Provide structured feedback to annotators and QAs to improve performance and consistency. - Perform hands-on annotation tasks (LLM evaluations, SFT, red teaming) to ensure adherence to project guidelines. - Collaborate with ML Project Managers, fellow Language Leads, and QA teams to define and implement global quality standards. - Contribute to recruitment assessments, test designs, and evaluation of new raters.

Qualifications & Expertise: - Native-level fluency in the target language/locale with up-to-date cultural knowledge. - Minimum 5+ years of experience in annotation, linguistics, or related QA work in AI/ML, language services, or content evaluation. - Strong expertise in annotation methodologies relevant to LLMs (side-by-side evaluations, error categorization, SFT, red teaming). - Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. - Background in linguistics, translation, or related fields preferred. - Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring contributors is a strong advantage. - Familiarity with QA processes, root cause analysis, and process improvement. - Comfortable working with data tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI) and in global, multilingual teams.
