Japanese Interpreter Job

We are seeking an experienced Japanese-English Interpreter/Translator to support seamless communication between Japanese-speaking and non-Japanese-speaking stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both languages, culturally adept, and possess industry knowledge—preferably with an understanding of Indian culture, work environments, and the life insurance sector.    Position: Technical Interpreter/Translator Location: Japan Experience: Minimum 10 years Key Responsibilities: 🔸 Interpretation Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and internal discussions. Facilitate verbal communication across language barriers in both formal and informal settings. 🔸Translation Translate business documents, emails, reports, presentations, and other materials between Japanese and English. Ensure that the original tone, context, and intent are preserved. 🔸Cultural Mediation Bridge cultural gaps and prevent miscommunication by understanding and conveying cultural nuances. Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times. 🔸Specialized Knowledge Apply domain-specific vocabulary, especially in the insurance or business context. Utilize tools such as glossaries, dictionaries, and online platforms (e.g., Amazon Translate) to ensure accurate translations. 🔸Proofreading and Editing Review translated content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Mandatory Skills: Fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written) Proficiency in translation tools (e.g., Amazon Translate) Preferred Skills: Prior experience as a translator/interpreter in business or technical environments Familiarity with Indian business culture and life insurance domain Deep cultural understanding of both Japan and India Qualifications: JLPT N2 or above (mandatory) Additional certifications in translation/interpretation (preferred)
