About the Role
We are looking for a Developer Relations Leader to build and define the Developer Relations function at 1Password. This role sits at the critical intersection of developers and security, responsible for creating and implementing the strategy that connects our secure technologies to developer tools and the broader developer community.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and lead a high-performing team, mature processes, and ensure we are a trusted partner for developers
- →Partner with Product, Engineering, and Security leadership to ensure the developer voice is integral to our roadmap
- →Drive the company-wide Developer Relations strategy, focusing on the adoption of 1Password’s developer tools
- →Create and maintain a feedback loop between the developer community and internal teams to improve offerings
- →Represent 1Password in the global developer community as a trusted voice in security, privacy, and authentication
- →Establish metrics and reporting to measure the impact of DevRel activities
- →Partner with Marketing and Sales to translate developer love into business growth
Requirements
- ✓8+ years leading Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or Community programs
- ✓5+ years experience managing individual contributors and managers
- ✓Proven expertise in building DevRel strategies from the ground up
- ✓Deep technical fluency in modern development workflows
- ✓Passion for fostering psychological safety in community environments
- ✓Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Experience facilitating complex community situations
