About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Developer, Rails to join our growing team at 1Password. This role involves shaping and improving critical aspects of our product within a collaborative, remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and scale applications with a focus on performance and reliability
- →Design and implement RESTful APIs and authentication systems
- →Implement enhancements using modern Rails features like Hotwire, Stimulus, and Turbo
- →Work closely with endpoint engineers and contribute to open-source projects
- →Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback
- →Mentor junior developers and lead technical design discussions
- →Rotate through on-call responsibilities to assist other engineers
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience building SaaS products with Ruby on Rails
- ✓Strong knowledge of SQL (Postgres or MySQL)
- ✓Experience working in remote-first or distributed teams
- ✓Background in security or IT is beneficial
- ✓Strong technical writing skills
- ✓Experience building and scaling applications
- ✓Passion for Rails and staying updated with the latest developments
