About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team at 2Brains, a technology consulting firm that drives growth and evolution for leading organizations in Latin America. This role focuses on designing, building, and scaling robust APIs and data-driven services to support digital products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and operate APIs REST/GraphQL with clear contracts, versioning, and high reliability
- →Build data-oriented backend services with efficient ingestion and processing through well-structured endpoints
- →Implement event-driven flows (Kafka, queues, pub/sub) for decoupled and resilient systems
- →Model and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring performance, integrity, and effective migrations
- →Design self-healing systems using resilience patterns and automatic failure detection
- →Incorporate security from the design phase, considering authentication, authorization, and secure data handling
- →Ensure software quality through automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and technical documentation
- →Deploy and operate solutions in cloud environments, considering scalability, security, and resilience
- →Monitor production services using metrics, logs, and traces, managing incidents proactively
- →Collaborate actively in agile ceremonies and share technical knowledge with the team
Requirements
- ✓Solid experience developing REST/GraphQL APIs with clear contracts and scalability focus
- ✓Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend service construction
- ✓Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including modeling, optimization, and migrations
- ✓Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka, queues, pub/sub)
- ✓Experience working in cloud environments (GCP) and automated deployments
- ✓Proficiency with CI/CD, version control with Git, and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
- ✓Knowledge of observability and monitoring (logs, metrics, traces, Grafana)
- ✓Application of security in development and secure data handling
- ✓Experience with automated testing and software quality best practices
