About the Role
We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Agentic Platform team, responsible for building company-wide infrastructure that enables engineering teams to safely build AI-powered features. This is a rare opportunity to shape foundational AI/LLM platform capabilities from the ground up at a company deploying real-world AI agents.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and build core platform primitives including provider abstraction layers, structured output validation, and token management systems
- →Own safety and compliance infrastructure including guardrail systems, PII detection/redaction, and privacy-first observability
- →Build evaluation infrastructure for systematic quality measurement of LLM outputs
- →Lead churn containment strategy by designing provider adapters and SDK architecture
- →Architect prompt lifecycle management systems with version control and deployment pipelines
- →Design Agent-as-a-Service infrastructure for long-running async tasks
- →Collaborate with consuming teams to understand their needs and provide technical support
- →Influence architecture, technology selections, and engineering standards
- →Create reference implementations and technical documentation
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of software engineering experience with platform infrastructure
- ✓Production experience with LLM/AI systems using OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar providers
- ✓Strong TypeScript expertise
- ✓Experience designing APIs and abstractions for other engineers
- ✓Understanding of safety and compliance in AI systems
- ✓Experience with event-driven architectures and async processing patterns
- ✓Understanding of observability and monitoring for distributed systems
- ✓Strong communication and technical writing skills
- ✓Track record of technical leadership
- ✓Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
