About the Role
Abnormal is seeking passionate Back End Engineer Interns to join their engineering team and build AI-native systems that protect millions of people and organizations. This is an opportunity to own meaningful features end-to-end, ship production-grade applications, and use AI tools daily.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and develop robust and scalable security features using Python/Go and AI-powered tools
- →Own feature delivery for a Standing Team, from design to launch
- →Conduct thorough testing of applications, including unit and integration testing
- →Use debugging tools and techniques to diagnose and fix issues
- →Communicate effectively with team members in an async manner
- →Participate in code reviews and system design discussions
- →Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
- ✓1+ years or 4+ internships of industry experience as a Back End Developer
- ✓Expertise in developing production-grade Python, Go, and distributed systems
- ✓Understanding of Go, gRPC, and microservices
- ✓Experience working with LLMs and prompt engineering
- ✓Experience with AI Developer tools such as Copilot, Cursor, etc.
- ✓Growth mindset, attention to detail, curiosity, and collaboration skills
- ✓Communication skills for working across global teams
