The Business Operations Specialist provides leadership and strategic oversight for all financial management, contract administration, procurement, quality control, and administrative activities related to government contracts.
The Work:
• Reporting to the Program Director, this supervisory role guides team members in maintaining contractual obligations and compliance with federal regulations.
• A successful candidate will manage core PMO governance and administration, including invoicing, reporting, document quality, systems management, onboarding/offboarding, audit compliance, and serve as the program’s primary support contact.
• The position requires exceptional leadership skills and comprehensive knowledge of government contracting provisions to effectively direct staff and operations.
• Governance includes coordinating program-wide risk and issue management, driving regular reviews and supporting mitigation strategies.
• Utilize superior communication skills to oversee the delivery of complex issues, reports, and deliverables to government counterparts while providing strategic direction across organizational components.
• In this leadership position, the Business Operations Specialist directs the evaluation and optimization of existing procedures and processes to increase program efficiency and address contractual issues.
• The specialist supervises the coordination of task order changes including proposal pricing, financial forecasting and scheduling, and budgeting while directing government-compliant invoicing and accurate labor reporting processes.
• This role involves providing daily supervision of the Business Operations Staff and overseeing the creation and maintenance of program reporting mechanisms for each contract year.
• The specialist leads coordination efforts with customer agencies for all onboarding and security requirements, including security clearance documentation.
• As a senior team member, the specialist supervises the technical liaison functions between the company and federal agencies, guiding staff in maintaining comprehensive documentation of all contract activities.
Here’s What You Need:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• 10 + years of experience supporting procurement, business operations, or contract management for a large civilian agency
• 10 + years of experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and government contracting provisions
• 10 + years of experience in federal business operations and contracts management
• 10 + years of supervisory experience in evaluations of procedures, processes, and systems; financial analysis and government-compliant invoicing; personnel security and onboarding processes with federal agencies
• 10 + years of experience directing task order changes and budget management
• 10 + years of experience overseeing analytical studies and report preparation with charts and graphs
• Bachelor's Degree
Bonus Points If You Have:
• Previous experience as a federal employee in contracting, security management, or business operations
• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
• Federal Acquisition Certification or similar credentials
• MBA or similar credentials
• Experience as a Contracting Officer or Contracting Specialist

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
